Training of Gorelovka and Spasovka community members “Establishing on community-based multi-hazard early warning system.”

Within the frame of the project “Strengthening climate resilient livelihoods of ecological migrants and potential ecological migrants in five communities of Georgia” for the community members of Gorelovka and Spasovka of Ninotsminda Municipality a training was conducted on community-based multi-hazard early warning system and principles of functioning at the village level. The topics discussed covered importance of early warning systems in disaster management, the Role of community participation in early warning systems, Vulnerability and Risk assessment and components, Challenges, and opportunities in implementing community-based early warning system, technological solutions for early warning systems. Project is implemented with close cooperation with Church World Service (CWS)
